Margarita Velazquez
Margarita Velazquez is a sculptor based in Indianapolis, currently pursuing her BFA in Sculpture at the Herron School of Art and Design. A first-generation Mexican American and former U.S. Army National Guard service member, her perspective is shaped by family, resilience, and service. Through the interplay of wire, color, shadow, and iridescent materials, her work celebrates imperfection as a source of beauty, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and embrace the shifting nature of perception.
