Belen Sepulveda
Belen Sepulveda is a 2D Visual illustrator, based in Indianapolis, IN. Her work is both traditional and digital, exploring two facets of herself. First, she creates color-pencil illustrations that explore socio-political issues related to her Mexican-American heritage, aiming to create thought-provoking pieces. Conversely, her digital illustrations are more stylized, exploring a cartoonish or anime aesthetic inspired by the media she grew up reading and watching, aiming to be more fun and marketable.
She is currently an undergraduate at Butler University, obtaining her B. F. A. (Bachelor's in Fine Arts) in Studio Art, with an emphasis in painting, drawing, and photography. Afterwards, she plans to go to graduate school to become a full-time art professor while simultaneously doing her own passion projects on the side.
Throughout the past four years, she has been given many freelance opportunities to work with already established and start-up companies. She has been able to exhibit her work at her school and has won first place in the Manuscript Contest held every year. Currently, she is focused on building a booth to begin her journey of marketing her art, which she has been able to start this year, with the goal of expanding it even more in the next one.
