Marthita Velderrain
Marthita Velderrain is a Mexican-born architectural designer and multidisciplinary artist based in Indianapolis. She holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Mexico and a Master of Architecture from Indiana University.
Marthita is a passionate observer of little details. She highly values the art process and celebrates the beauty of the everyday moments, and nature across various techniques, such as painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography.
Rooted in her practice and training in architecture, Marthita’s work relies on a foundation of balanced compositions and spatial awareness. She brings her pieces to life through the mix of bold and delicate strokes and a vibrant color palette as an expression of her Mexican culture and her energetic personality.
